The Natural History Museum has undergone a pivotal and essential transformation; moving the focus away from the past and into the future. As part of this pivotal re-focus, we were invited to articulate the new brand pillars and shape a visual identity that inspires the visitors of today, to change tomorrow.
Evolving for a changing world
The Natural History Museum is one of the most visited attractions in the world - it’s an iconic destination and the brand needed to reflect this.
Our design strategy was to shift the communications from being content-led, to being brand-led. We moved the mark to the centre of the narrative, connecting all content. A bold, recognisable and, most importantly, easy to apply identity system optimises the brand impact, whilst allowing full creative freedom for diverse imagery and streamlined messaging across all communications.
