Brand creation for Antenna, an interactive, permanent exhibition on contemporary science news. Antenna is a first. It’s a permanent exhibition at the Science Museum that delivers an ever changing selection of the most pressing science stories. It encourages visitors of all ages to huddle, engage and discuss. The responses and interaction form the heart of the exhibition, surrounding the exhibits with personal context and expert narrative.
Dot Dot Dash Dash
Morse code, one of the most elementary and universally recognisable methods of communication, provides the inspiration and foundation for our graphic language. Simple, robust yet flexible it creates a system that holds both type and image across signage, interpretation and digital. Our dots and dashes allow for an intuitive, interactive visitor experience. Against the vivid colours of the architecture, black and white provides a strong, bold identity that unifies a busy, complex space.
Antenna Feature
One area of the Antenna space is devoted to featuring a specific science theme and exploring it in greater depth, for example 3D Printing, Data or Diet. Using a bespoke content-led design approach for each new theme, we create enriching and engaging stories across 2D, 3D and 4D platforms. These are regularly refreshed, encouraging visitors to return.
